TORONTO, Canada |Feb. 1, 2006 | Lorus Therapeutics Inc. ('Lorus'), a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development
and commercialization of pharmaceutical products and technologies for the management of cancer, today announced the results of further exploratory analysis of data from its Phase III clinical trial of Virulizin(R) for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. This analysis showed significant survival benefit for a subgroup of patients who continued to receive Virulizin(R) after entering optional Stage 3* second-line therapy.
