Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited (RLL), announced today that the Company has received approval in Canada to manufacture and market Ran®-Lisinopril 5, 10 and 20 mg oral tablets from Health Canada, Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD)
GURGAON, India | October 22, 2007 | Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited (RLL), announced today that the Company has received approval in Canada to manufacture and market Ran®-Lisinopril 5, 10 and 20 mg oral tablets from Health Canada, Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD). Total brand market for Lisinopril 5, 10, and 20 mg oral tablets in Canada is CAD $46 mil. (IMS-MAT: August 2007).
Lisinopril is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and may be used alone as initial therapy or concomitantly with other classes of antihypertensive agents, and as adjunctive therapy in the management of heart failure in patients who are not responding adequately to diuretics and digitalis, as well as in the treatment of hemodynamically stable patients within 24 hours of acute myocardial infarction, to improve survival.
